Two Convenors' Workshops Scheduled in S.F. Bay Area

Two convenors' workshops have been scheduled in Oakland CA.  The first will be held Saturday Sept. 30 and the second on Oct. 22.  Both will be held at 969 Broadway, downtown Oakland (at the Kaiser Chemical Dependency Recovery Program). 

The Sept. 30 workshop will be the introductory format covering the philosophy of LifeRing Secular Recovery and the role of the convenor.  This workshop is aimed at people who are considering becoming convenors at some time in the future, and those who want to brush up on their convenor skills.  People who just want a more in-depth introduction to the LifeRing recovery approach also have found these events useful. 

The Oct. 22 event will be a convenors' round table (intergroup meeting) with its topic the LSR Constitutional Congress coming up next Jan. 26-28 in Florida. 

Both workshops will take place from 9 a.m. to noon.  The location is upstairs from the Smart & Final store on Broadway between 9th and 10th Streets, a block from the Oakland City Center / 12th St. BART station.
